Global ESG & Environmental Responsibility

Responsible Manufacturing for the Future of Implantology

Osstem Implant is taking measurable steps to reduce its environmental footprint — from the materials used in production to the energy that powers its factories.

By investing in cleaner manufacturing methods, smarter energy use, and lower-impact technologies, we are helping shape a future where high-quality implantology and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.

Because the future of implantology has to be sustainable.

Across our production processes, we continue to improve resource efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen environmental monitoring. Every step supports our goal of delivering trusted dental solutions with greater care for the planet.

Cleaner Production. Smarter Energy. Lower Impact.

Sustainable progress starts with better choices in everyday operations.

At our Magok headquarters, solar and geothermal systems support lighting, air conditioning, and heating. At the Busan plant, an Energy Storage System helps use electricity more efficiently by storing off-peak energy.

  • 261 kW solar system and 367 kW geothermal systems installed at Magok HQ
  • 250 kW Energy Storage System installed at the Busan plant
  • Smarter energy use to support more efficient production

Reducing Titanium Waste by 86%

In implant production, even small material savings can make a meaningful difference.

By introducing new end bar feeders, Osstem is able to recycle shorter titanium lengths during production. This has helped reduce titanium scrap waste from 7% to just 1%.

Less waste. Better resource efficiency. More responsible manufacturing.

Automated Wastewater Treatment

Cleaner production also means responsible water management.

Osstem uses automated wastewater treatment systems with real-time monitoring, alarms, and remote-control capabilities. These systems help ensure continuous compliance with legal discharge standards and support safer, more reliable environmental management.

Chemical-Free Surface Blasting

Osstem continues to improve implant surface processing with lower-impact technologies.

Where applicable, Osstem uses proprietary laser technology to reduce or eliminate the need for chemical electrolytes in surface processing. This reduces the need to manage, dispose of, and control chemical substances in production.

A cleaner process for a more sustainable production environment.

Smart IoT air pollution monitoring

Environmental responsibility requires visibility.

Across five plant locations, Osstem uses smart IoT sensor networks to monitor air emissions in real time. This enables proactive pollution control and helps teams respond quickly when action is needed.
